A freestanding wardrobe carcass, 2000 mm tall, 1000 mm wide and 580 mm deep, with three shelves and a plinth. The carcass uses standard 2440 x 1220 mm sheets of 18 mm MDF, with a 6 mm hardboard back.
MDF has no grain, so every part can rotate to whichever way fits best. That is why MDF and melamine often pack tighter than veneered plywood.
Shelves are 2 mm shorter than the inside width (964 mm) and 20 mm shallower than the carcass so the back fits behind them.
