Privacy policy

Short version: we collect only what the app needs to work. No ads, no third-party analytics or tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.

Plywise is operated by KNTN LLC, an Ohio limited liability company ("we"), which is responsible for the data described here. Our company privacy policy covers every app we sell; this page lists what Plywise itself collects.

Without an account

• Your projects stay in your browser's local storage on your own device.
• When you run an optimization on the free plan, the project's parts, stock and settings are sent to our Cloudflare Worker to compute the layout. They are not stored.
• To enforce the free daily limit (20 optimizations per day), we store a salted hash of a random device id, and a salted hash of your IP address together with the date and a hash of the inputs. These records are deleted after 2 days.

With an account

• Your email address.
• Your name, if you sign in with Google or Microsoft.
• Your Google or Microsoft account id (and Google profile picture link), if you use either to sign in. We don't keep Google or Microsoft access tokens and can't act on those accounts.
• Session cookies (HttpOnly) that keep you signed in. Each session also records the IP address and browser it was started from, so suspicious sign-ins can be spotted. Sessions expire after 7 days.
• Synced projects and offcut inventory, stored in Cloudflare D1.
• Subscription status and your Stripe customer and subscription ids.
• For Pro bought in the iOS app: the App Store product, status and renewal date, which RevenueCat reports to us.

Browser storage

The app keeps these items in your browser: your projects, your offcuts, a random device id, and the signed plan token that tells the app which plan you are on.

Who processes data for us

• Cloudflare: hosting and database.
• Resend: sign-in emails.
• Google, Microsoft and Apple: optional sign-in.
• Stripe (checkout shown as Link): payments, as merchant of record. We never see your full card details.
• Apple and RevenueCat: in-app purchases in the iOS app. RevenueCat receives your App Store purchase receipts and, when you are signed in, your Plywise account id.

What we do not do

We show no ads, use no third-party analytics or tracking cookies, and do not sell your data.

Deleting your data

You can delete projects in the app at any time. To delete your account, email support@kntn.dev. We will delete your account, sessions and synced projects. Stripe keeps billing records as its own legal obligations require.
